Commencement of installing steel structures for Boiler 1A of Mong Duong 1 power plant

This morning, 18/1/2013 in Cam Pha town, Quang Ninh province, the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN), Main Contractor Huyndai Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd. (HDEC), Lilama and other sub-contractors carried on the commencement ceremony of installing steel structures for Boiler 1A. LILAMA 69.1 will perform this work.

     Lilama 69 -1 (subsidiary company of Lilama) will be responsible for installing 4,500 tons of steel structures of the boiler within 5 months. To perform this work, the Company has mobilized 150 skilled technicians, 20 engineers together with high capacity construction equipment such as: hydraulic crane of 600 tons and 280 tons, tower cranes, hydraulic jacks and so on...

    Engineer Nguyen Van Vien, Vice Head of Lilama 69-1 project team said that after finishing this work, LILAMA 69-1 would install 3,500 tons of pressured equipment, 4,500 tons of pressured mechanical equipment. In order to ensure the fulfilment of the work, the Company would mobilize over 900 engineers, technicians and other workers to the construction site if necessary.

     Thus, the Company has started the installation work in accordance with the schedule as committed in the contract signed on 14/12/1012 between LILAMA and Main Contractor.

     This is one of the 2 power plants of Mong Duong Electricity Centre, belonging to the National Electric Development Planning in the period 2006-2015. Its Owner is the Electricity of Vietnam (EVN) and its Main Contractor is Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co.,Ltd (Korea).

      The Mong Duong 1 thermal power plant will have 02 machine units with total capcity of 1,080MW. The annual electric output will be 6.5 billion kWh. As planned, machine unit 1 will be finished and put into operation after 40 months (Quarter I/2015) and machine unit 2 will be put into use after 46 months (by Quarter III/2015).
