This morning (3/2), at the construction site of Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant (Thai Thuy-Thai Binh), Lilama has conducted to install steam drum of machine unit 1, 30 days earlier than the committed schedule. This is a practical activity of Lilama staffs who are working at the project site in celebration of the 85th anniversary of Vietnamese Communist Party foundation (3/2/1930 - 3/2/2015).

At 10 a.m, the equipment weighed 320 tons with diameter of 2.145m and length of 32.5m was lifted onto the installation position by performer - Lilama 18 JSC (member of Lilama Corp.) with hydraulic jack, in witness of Owner - Petroleum of Vietnam (PVN) and Main Contractor - Petroleum Construction and Installation Corp. (PVC). It was anticipated that after 7 hours, the steam drum (the heart of the plant) would be put into its installation position according to the designing requirements at the height of 66.23m.

The installation of steam drum earlier than committed schedule has not only marked the efforts of Lilama engineers and workers participating in the project performance but also marked the transition stage from installing steel structure equipment to installing boiler pressured equipment. After putting the steam drum into its position, Lilama 18 continued to calibrate and install the boiler, striving for pressure test of boiler 1 on 17/2/2016. Thus, after nearly 5 months of deploying performance, up to now Lilama has manufactured and installed about 5224/6843 tons of equipment of machine unit 1 và 3163/6843 tons of equipment of machine unit 2.
Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant is an important project belonging to Thai Binh Electricity Centre. According to design, the plant consists of 2 machine units with total capacity of 1,200 MW and its Owner is Petroleum Electricity Corp. assigned by Petroleum of Vietnam. After being put into use, the plant will supply the national grid with 6.7 billion kWh annually.
