Nhon Trach 4 Gas Power Plant - Successful First Firing

The success of the first firing for Nhon Trach 4 turbine is a very important milestone marking the completion of construction and installation, single and interconnected commissioning of all plant main equipment systems which is the basis to achieve next milestones such as: synchronization and handing over the plant to the Owner for official operation by December 2025.

After this event, the EPC Joint-venture is coming to the milestone of plant synchronization and airshow work for clean systems by the end of June 2025.

Before that, on May 17th 2025, the Nhon Trach 3 Gas Power Plant - the first liquefied natural gas (LNG) fueled power plant in Vietnam had accomplished the milestone of non-stop technical running within 24 hours with maximum loading capacity up to 812MW of the combine-cycle, which became a prerequisite for the EPC joint-venture and  the main equipment supplier (GE)  to carry out next test-running steps for the plant.

The Nhon Trach 3 & 4 Power Plant is one the national important LNG projects which is built in Phuoc Khanh commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province. The 1,500MW - capacitated plant project is owned by PetroVietnam Power (PV Power) and performed by the EPC Joint-venture of Samsung C&T- LILAMA Corporation.
