Extension Vinh Tan 4 thermal power project: burning coals 1.5 months ahead of defined schedule
At 10:20 a.m of March 22nd 2019, in Vinh Tan Electricity Centre, Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, Extension Vinh Tan 4 thermal power project conducted to burn coals successfully for the first time, 1.5 months ahead of schedule in the contract between Lilama and Main Contractor Doosan.
This achievement has marked an important milestone, it was a base to carry out next steps of the project, striving for putting the plant into commercial operation. Systems of exhaust fume treatment (NOx – SCR disposing system, desulfurizing system by sea water - FGD, electrostatic purification - ESP) were put into used as soon as the boiler was burnt.
In this project, Lilama as sub-contractor was responsilbe for installing such main items as: boiler, equipment and the whole pipeline of turbine house, NOx –SCR disposing system, desulfurizing system FGD, electrostatic purification ESP, underground piping system CWP, electric system, control and instrumentation system of boiler and turbine….together with 2/3 of insulation quantity of the plant.
To achieve this important schedule milestone, collective of Lilama staffs as well as sub-contractors of Lilama had tried incessantly to enhance their professional skills, search advanced execution methods to shorten the schedule, save manpower and money. Now, once again Lilama affirms the management ability as well as experience and professional skills for performing to install power projects with domestic and foreign partners. Lilama deserves the leading unit in construction and installation branch.
Extension Vinh Tan 4 thermal power project is being built in Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province. The Owner is Electricity of Vietnam. The plant has 1 machine unit with installed capacity of 600 MW.
Extension Vinh Tan 4 thermal power plant is the one using Super Critical boiler technology. EPC Main Contractor of this project is Consortium DMPP consisting of DOOSAN Heavy Industrial Corporation (Korea), MITSUBISHI Corporation (Japan), Power Construction Consultation JSC 2 (PECC2) and the Pacific JSC (PACIFIC, Vietnam).
