Lilama has successfully installed rotor of machine unit 1, Lai Chau hydro power plant
This morning (14/10) at Nam Hang commune, Nam Nhun district, Lai Chau province, Lilama 10 JSC has successfully installed the rotor of machine unit 1 in Lai Chau hydro power plant. The rotor which weighs 1000 tons with diameter of 15.587m and height of 2.816m was installed by 2 cranes with lifting capacity of 1,200 tons.
Previously, the work of checking & preparation for taking down rotor such as: assembling work, calibrating work, high-voltage testing work, checking the lifting equipment, Stator - generator, Turbine ... had been finished accurately by Lilama 10 managing board, satisfying the defined technical specifications.
At 5:10 a.m, the Rotor which weighs 1000 tons with diameter of 15.587m and height of 2.816m began to be taken to the installation position (tubine well); and after nearly 5 hours, it was put into the position safely and accurately in witness of Owner and Supervision Consultant. The successful taking down of rotor of machine unit 1 in Lai Chau hydro power plant marks an important schedule milestone, assuring to put machine unit 1 into operation in the end of this year.
After taking rotor to its installation position, Lilama 10 concentrated to connect the high-voltage compressed air system, electrical system, activate brakes … so as to fulfil the installation work. At the moment, preparation work for installing machine unit 2 is being deployed actively by Lilama 10. Facing many hardships such as bad weather, late arrival of equipment, narrow execution area … but the installation workers believe the Lai Chau hydro power plant project will be accomplished soon, ahead of schedule, in the end of next year.
