Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant – Successful First Firing

The first firing is an important milestone in affirming not only the completion of construction and installation work, accomplishing single and interconnection test-run of main equipment of the plant, but also a premise for gaining the next ones in the progress like gas burning, synchronization, and handing over Nhon Trach 3 Plant for commercial operation by June 2025.

After the successful first firing, the EPC Contractor Joint-venture shall reach the next milestone of the plant synchronization and the system blowing and cleaning by the end of January 2025 and February 2025 respectively.

Until the present, the quantity of EPC package completed totally gained 98%, in which many main items had been put into test-run and operation such as: 220kV Electricity Distribution Station  (with reverse power supplying for the plant); Main and Auxiliary Transformers working; Water Treatment System; Compressed Air System; Sewage Treatment System; Water Circulation Cooling System; Gas Fuel Receiving System (be ready for gas fueling from PV Gas); PEECC, LEC and LCI Systems, Power Building No.3 and CCB building…

To achieve this milestone thanked to the close direction of LILAMA board of leaders and the coordination of the Owner, the EPC Contractor joint-venture as well as other contractors involved in the Nhon Trach 3 plant project construction, especially LILAMA’s engineers and workers who had been working absorbedly in the project site in days and nights, no matter the sunshine or rain.

The Nhon Trach 3 and 4 Gas Power Plant Project which is built in Phuoc Khanh commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province with the total capacity of 1,500MW is one of national important LNG works. The project is owned by PetroVietnam Power Corporation (PV Power) and is implemented by the EPC Contractor Joint-venture of Samsung C&T – LILAMA Corporation.
