Outstanding events of Lilama in 2014
The year 2014 passed with many important events of the country. Those are: the positive signals of the national economy with GDP achieved 5.98%, surpassing the specified planning target; the matter of sea & islands sovereignty to be infringed; the problem of strong fighting against negativism with a lot of criminal cases to be tried; the fulfilment of many important projects; a number of production enterprizes have been stable and developing after the crisis stage. In this general context, Lilama has had gigantic development steps over the past year with various economic contracts valued upto thousand billion dongs to be signed, expansion of international cooperation with many partners, commencement of installing many new plants, ensuring jobs for labourers and improving employees' living standard considerably...
1. Deploying to perform the installation of Nghi Son oil chemical refinery conjugate project

After signing the contract with Main Contractor of the project, Lilama has mobilized its manpower together with modern facilities and machines to site for performance. In this project, Lilama is responsible for installing more than 56,000 tons of equipment including 10,000 tons manufactured by Lilama for items of tanks & vessels, steel structures, piping, equipment for the plant, etc. Up to now, Nghi Son oil chemical refinery project has been the plant with biggest capacity in Vietnam with its output of 200,000 oil tanks a day. As anticipated, the project will be finished by 2017, satisfying 70% of the need for oil petrol inside the country.
2. Handing over machine unit 1 of Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant to Owner for commercial electrical generation

After a period of performance with effort, overcoming difficulties and hardships, on 30/12/2014, EPC Contractor Lilama handed over machine unit 1 of Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant to Owner for commercial electrical generation. This was an important event recording the efforts of Lilama in the project performance so as to put the machine unit with biggest capacity in Vietnam into commercial operation. Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant has its capacity of 1,200 MW (2x600) has been invested by Owner PVN.
3. Commencing to build Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant

In parallel with other projects being performed by Lilama, in August 2014, the Corporation continued to coordinate with PVN and PVC to conduct the commencement of installing steel structures for Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant in Thai Thuy, Thai Binh. This is a large-scale thermal power plant with capacity of 1,200 MW, belonging to Thai Binh Electricity Center and invested by Owner PVN. At the moment, Lilama is carrying out to install steel structures for Boiler 1 and 2 of the plant.
4. The schedules of the projects have been supervised tightly

The work of installing equipment is always the last stage after finishing construction work and the working groups hand over their areas. So, whether the handingover of areas is fast or slow, it is very important, directly affecting the schedule of plants' installation. In projects that Lilama has been participating in such as Mong Duong 1 thermal power plant, Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant, Nghi Son oil chemical refinery plant, Lai Chau hydro power plant, etc., the schedules are always ensured as committed with Owners, even exceeding the set standards in some projects with high quality and safety.
5. Joining together for fatherland' sea and islands
In May 2014, China rudely took their Hai Duong 981 oil-rig to set illegally in the Vietnamese privileged economic sea area and continental shelf, seriously violating the country's sea & islands sovereignty and international law. Lilama Corporation together with the whole country people are directed toward the open sea, side by side with the Vietnamese executive forces to struggle against the wrong actions of China and determinedly defend the sacred sovereignty, sea & islands of our Fatherland.
6. Performing many contracts of manufacturing export equipment

Besides the traditional profession of machinery installation, manufacture of export equipment step by step participates in the global production chain and it is a new way to bring in high economic values. Annually, Lilama's subsidiaries sign contracts of manufacturing export equipment to foreign countries with the value of up to tens of million USD.
