Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant: successfully installed main beam of boiler 1

As reported from Thai Binh 2 Lilama Project Board, after 3 days from 01/01 to 04/01/2015, all the main beam complex weighed over 500 tons has been successfully installed by Lilama at 74m high safely and accurately; this was an important steel structure of boiler 1.

     To perform this work in accordance with its schedule milestone successfully in a difficult condition that the main beam material was handed over to LILAMA just on 29/12/2014, the Thai Binh 2 Lilama Project Board together with the performing company Lilama 18 have gathered all their resources, arranged work for their staff including extra shifts at nights and on holidays so that all the preparation work was ready for lifting the main beam. The successful putting main beam into its installation position as per schedule has created motivation for the workers at site to continue striving for the aim of lifting steam drum for machine unit 1 on 03/02/2015 in celebration of the 85th anniversary of Vietnamese Communist Party foundation.

   Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant project has its total capacity of 1,200MW (2x600MW) has been invested by the Owner Petroleum of Vietnam (PVN), the EPC Contractor is Vietnamese Petroleum Construction & Installation JSC (PVC), and the Installation Contractor is Lilama. When being put into operation steadily, the plant will provide approximately 7.2 billion kWh of electricity for the Vietnamese market, contributing importantly to develop the national economy and ensure the energy security for the country.
