Commencement of installing steel structure equipment for Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant

     It was nearly 9a.m, the first steel structure equipment has been taken to the installation place safely and accurately. As planned, approximately 20,000 tons of steel structure equipment of Boiler 1 will be installed and finished by Lilama 18 JSC (member of LILAMA Corp) within 7 months from now on. To fulfil this work, in addition to the mobilized construction machines and equipment, the company has appointed more than 50 engineers and workers to site. In the coming time, there will be about 600 engineers and workers to participate in equipment installation work. After this work, Lilama 18 will carry on the installation of pressure equip., mechanical pressure equip., then the work of pressure test, finishing work and handing over to the Owner.

     For the installation and handing over the project to PVN, Lilama Corporation will mobilize 11 subsidiary companies to participate in this project. At the moment, the foundation bolts of Boiler 2 of the plant are being installed by Lilama 69-1 and as anticipated, the work of steel structure equipment installation will be carried on in the coming October. 

     The Thai Binh 2 thermal power plant is an important project belonging to Thai Binh Electric Centre. According to design, the plant consists of 2 machine units with total capacity of 1,200 MW and it has been allowed to PVN to be the Owner by Vietnamese National Petroleum Corporation. After being put into operation, the plant will supply the national grid with more than 6.7 billion kWh annually.
