Construction Minister checked the construction schedule of Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant (Ha Tinh).

     The Minister was accompanied by Mr Vo Kim Cu - Chairman of Ha Tinh people's committee, Mr Le Van Tuan - Lilama General Director and other leaders from the Owner - Petrol Vietnam (PVN).

Minister Trinh Dinh Dung listened to the report of project performance situation

     On behalf of EPC Main Contractor and other performing units at site, Mr Nguyen Duy Loi, Lilama Project Manager of Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant reported to Minister on the achieved results, targets, schedule of project items, the situation of the workers' jobs and living standards at site, and especially, the preparation work for restarting machine unit 1. As anticipated, on 29/6 this machine unit will be merged into the national grid and the capacity will be enhanced upto 600MW. Previously, on 29/5, Main Contractor Lilama had given reverse current to power transformer No. 2 successfully, on 17/6 they had finished blowing up the boiler of machine unit 2 and now they are quickly carrying on the preparation work for the first burning with coal.

     After listening to the report and checking at site, Minister Trinh Dinh Dung praised and highly appreciated efforts of the Owner, relating parties and local authorities, especially EPC Main Contractor Lilama who has recently coodinated and developed the project performance in accordance with the defined schedule with assured quality. Then, Minister visited and encouraged Lilama labourers who are working at site.
