Successfully installing power generator of machine unit 2 for O Mon 1 thermal power plant
Recetly, the machinery installation team No. 10 belonging to Lilama 45-1 JSC (LILAMA Corporation) has successfully installed the power generator of machine unit 2, safely and accurately for O Mon 1 thermal power plant. It weighed 345 tons and was installed onto the height of 15m with hydraulic jack measure. This is one of the super-weight equipment of the project and it has been installed successfully by the Company.

At site of machine unit 2 in O Mon 1 thermal power plant, Lilama 45-1 JSC has undertaken the bid of manufacturing and installing more than 7,000 tons of technological equipment: installing boiler, turbine, generator, and 65,000 ID of pressured pipes; manufacturing over 600 tons of boiler equipment such as: Condenser, water pressure tank, condense tank etc. with total value of upto 7.1 million USD. As anticipated, the company will finish installation work and carry on a pressure test for boiler of machine unit 2 in September 2014.
The O Mon 1 thermal power plant consisting of 2 machine units with capacity 660MW (2 x 330 MW) has been being built in Phuoc Thoi ward, O Mon district, 20km far from Can Tho town. Machine unit 1 was put into operation in 2009.
As planned, machine unit 2 of the plant will be finished and put into use in Quarter II/2015. When the plant operates, its annual average electrical productivity of 1.9 tỷ kWh will contribute to deal with the situation of electrical lack in period 2013-2015 and impulse the development of economy-society in the important economic zone of Southern Vietnam.
