Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant: handing over machine unit 2 to Owner for commercial operation

Machine unit 2 is officially put into commercial operation

     Previously, Main Contractor Lilama had finished the process of reliable running under the EPC contract signed with Owner - Petroleum of Vietnam (PVN), all technical specifications had satisfied the designed requirment. This achievement remarked the effort and success of Main Contractor Lilama who had overcame all difficulties to put the plant having the biggest machine unit capacity in Vietnam into stable operation. On 30/12/2014, machine unit 1 of the plant had been handed over by Lilama to PVN for commercial use. Thus, after nearly 5 years of construction & installation, Vung Ang 1 thermal power plant has been put into commercial operation officially.

     Vung Ang 1 thermal power project with capacity of 1,200MW (2x600MW) was invested by Petroleum of Viet Nam (PVN) and the EPC Main Contractor was Lilama. When being put into use, the plant will supply approximately 7.2 billion kWh of commercial electricity for Vietnamese market, importantly contributing to develop the economy and ensure the energy security for the country.
