Successfully installing steam drum of the plant

    Steam drum No.2 weighed 230 tons with diameter of 2m and length of 30m was lifted onto the height of 52m by hydraulic jack. It was an important equipment that supplied overheated steam to rotate turbine and generator. The successful steam drum installation was one of the important milestones that decided the schedule of installing boiler 2 particularly and the whole project generally, marking a meaningful development step during the plant construction.

     Previously, Machinery Installation Team 9 had finished installing steel structures for boiler 2 including 3 main beam complex with total weight of 221 tons on 20/6/2016. The steel structure system helped support the entire boiler equipment and auxiliaries consisting of pressured pipelines, driving system...

     After finishing the above work, Machinery Installation Team 9 will concentrate on installation of  pressure system. As anticipated, pressure test for boiler 1 will be conducted on 22/8/2016, and pressure test for boiler 2 will be on 31/12/2016.

     Since the commencement in October 2015, up to now, Lilama 69-1 has finished main schedule milestones for Thai Binh 1 thermal power plant as follow:

- Installing first steel structure pillar for boiler 1 (30/10/2015).

- Installing first steel structure for boiler 2 (15/2/2016).

- Installing the 03 main beam complex of boiler 1 (24/2/2016).

- Installing the 03 main beam complex of boiler 2 (20/6/2016).

- Installing steam drum of boiler 1 (9/3/2016).

- Installing steam drum of boiler 2 (8/7/2016).
