Installing Generator and Placing Turbine into foundation for Nhon Trach 3 Plant project

In 13th and 16th mornings of October 2023, LILAMA Corporation in coordination with the Owner and contractors performed the installation of the generator and gas turbine for Nhon Trach 3 Power Plant. This is an important milestone of the Nhon Trach 3 & 4 project progress schedule in ensuring the commercial operation on time (COD) for Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 in the fourth quarter of 2024 and the second quarter of 2025, respectively.

The W88 - model generator of Nhon Trach 3 plant supplied by OEM GE and originated from Poland that has the capacity of 892 MVA, weighing 453.6 tons (with dimensions of 11.89m length x 4.86m width x 4.92 height). The equipment has manufactured within 15 months from March 2022 to June 2023.

The Gas Turbine for Nhon Trach 3 plant also supplied by OEM GE had the model 9HA02, originated from France with the weight of 431.1 tons (dimensions of 12.2m length x 5.45m width x 5.4m height). The time of turbine manufacturing lasted the same as that of the Generator.  

 Nhon Trach 3 Gas Turbine is placing stably on the foundation.

The Nhon Trach 3 & 4 Gas Power Plants Project located in Nhon Trach commune, Dong Nai province is the important one of The National Power Plan VII approved by the Government, which assigned to PV Power as the Owner, Samsung C&T and Lilama Corporation as the Joint-Venture EPC Contractor. The project implemented under the EPC contract form has the total capacity of 1,500MW and the total investment of 1.4 billion USD.

Particularly, this is the first project using LNG as the input fuel for production of electricity in Vietnam. After putting into commercial operation, the plants shall make a significant contribution into realizing the commitment by the Prime Minister in COP26 on net-zero omission by the year of 2050, as well as in national power security.
