Lilama 69-1: successfully installing steam drum of machine unit 1- Thai Binh 1 thermal power plant
On March 9th 2016, at the construction site of Thai Binh 1 thermal power plant, Lilama 69-1 JSC has successfully installed steam drum of machine unit 1, a month ahead of the defined schedule (15/4/2016).
Steam drum of machine unit 1 which weighed 230 tons with diameter of 2m, length of 30m has been installed at the height of 52m by engineers and workers from Lilama 69-1 with hydraulic jack method. Right after finishing to lift the steam drum, workers of Lilama 69-1 concentrated on calibrating to put it into its right place. They are now striving for pressure test in 7/2016.
Steam drum is an important equipment, it is like the heart of the plant. It provides overheated steam to rotate turbine and generator. That is why, workers of Lilama 69-1 had made careful preparations before lifting it so as to assure good conditions for the installation, satisfying all requirements of quality, safety and effectiveness.
Lilama 69-1 is responsible for installing 75% of mechanical equipment; steel structures; important pipelines; system of piping, supports, valves of turbines and auxiliary systems for both boiler 1 & 2 of Thai Binh 1 thermal power project, and the total work volume is upto 28,652 tons. Up to now, after 04 months since the commencement ceremony, the company has accomplished such main schedule milestones as: installing the first steel structure pillar of boiler 1 (30/10/2015), installing the first steel structure pillar of boiler 2 (15/2/2016), installing combination of 03 main beams of boiler 1 (24/2/2016) and installing steam drum of boiler 1.
Installing successfully steam drum of boiler 1 earlier than the defined schedule doesnot only affirm the ability & experience in installing thermal power plants of Lilama 69-1, but also shows great progress in organizing execution work as well as determining to maintain prestige & trademark of the Company.
The Thai Binh 1 thermal power plant, with total investment capital of more than 26,000 billion dongs will be finished by year 2018 as anticipated. This is one of the important energy projects of the North and it is also considered a main point one of the Nation.
