Lilama has successfully installed Rotor of machine unit 3 in Lai Chau hydro power plant
In the morning of September 6th 2016, in Nam Nhun district, Lai Chau province, Lilama10 JSC (member of Lilama Corporation) has successfully installed Rotor of machine unit 3 for Lai Chau hydro power plant. This was one of the last most important events to accomplish the plant 1 year ahead of schedule.
The Lai Chau hydro power plant having 03 machine units with total capacity of 1,200MW is being built in Nam Nhun district, Lai Chau province. Together with Hoa Binh hydro power plant (1,920 MW) and Son La hydro power plant (2,400 MW), after Lai Chau plant is finished and put into operation, the total capacity of all hydro power plants on Da River will be raised to 6,500 MW, supplying about 25 billion kWh of electricity and bringing in the annual power production value of approximately USD 1.2-1.3 billion.
Previously, the work of installation, check and preparation for installing rotor had been finished exactly, satisfying all defined technical specifications such as: assembling work, calibrating work, high voltage test for Rotor and rotor lifting equipment, Stator – generator, Turbine…
At 7:10 a.m, the Rotor weighed 1000 tons with diameter of 15.587m and the height of 2.816m was taken to its installation place (turbine well); after nearly 5 hours, it was put into its position safely and accurately in witness of Owner and Supervision Consultation Unit. The successful taking down rotor of machine unit 3 for Lai Chau hydro power plant marks an important schedule milestone to assure that machine unit 3 will be put into use on time and the whole plant will be completed in the end of year 2016 “a year ahead of schedule”.
