LILAMA 10 SUCCESSFULLY INSTALLED GENERATOR ROTOR FOR NHON TRACH 4 GAS POWER PLANT PROJECT

Mr. Dinh An Thuyen – Site Manager of Nhon Trach 3&4 Construction Unit under LILAMA 10 JSC said that, the Rotor has a capacity of 750 MW, weighing 91.6 tons with 16.66m in length had been successfully erected by LILAMA10 in the coordination with the Owner and the EPC Contract Joint-venture of LILAMA and Samsung C&T on April 24^th, 2024. As before, the 892-MVA-capacitated generator of Nhon Trach 4 plant weighed 453.6 tons with L11.89m x W4.86m x H4.92m in dimension which was supplied by OEM GE and originated from Poland had been performed and fulfilled by LILAMA engineers and workers in December 2023.

The accomplishment of rotor has marked a very important step in the construction progress and made a significant contribution in securing the commercial operation date (COD) of electricity generation on time for Nhon Trach 4 by the 2^nd quarter of 2025.

More particularly, the contractors’ execution met schedule in which the construction work volume had gained nearly 85% the total planned by the end of March 2024 under the contract signed. According to the plan in May this year, the Nhon Trach 3 shall be put into testing operation. It is expected that Nhon Trach 3 and Nhon Trach 4 shall commercially generate electricity on November 15^th, 2024 and May 15^th, 2025 respectively.

The Nhon Trach 3&4 project is located in Phuoc Khanh commune, Nhon Trach district, Dong Nai province with a total capacity of 1,500MW and total investment of 1.4 billion USD. The plant shall supply about 9 billion kWh of electricity to the national power grid when officially operating. This is an important project in the National Power Plan VII approved by the Government which was assigned to PV Power J.S. Corporation as the Owner, Samsung C&T Corporation and LILAMA as the EPC Joint-venture Contractor.
